Jamie is a still photographer, videographer, and cinematographer from Santa Cruz, with professional experience working behind the camera for a wide array of film, commercial, and lifestyle projects.
Captivated by the way a great photograph can change the way people view the world, Jamie was drawn to photography from an early age. After her passion for photography evolved into an interest in film and motion picture work, she attended Cal State Monterey Bay where she graduated with her Bachelors in Cinematic Arts and Technology. During her studies, she served as Director of Photography and Co-Executive Producer, alongside Director Marissa Shankar, for the drama short Suraj which screened at A Show for a Change Film Festival. which won the storytelling award in 2019.
Upon graduating, she continued her work as a still photographer and videographer in the Santa Cruz area, working on a variety of lifestyle and commercial projects. Her lifestyle work includes shooting family, professional, and engagement portraits as well as offering complete wedding photography and video services. Whatever the occasion, when working with clients on-set Jamie’s top priority is to create a positive environment where everyone feels comfortable and confident. In the commercial world, Jamie works on product photography and commercial video projects, where she is involved in every aspect of production from pre-pro, to shooting, through postproduction.
As a cinematic storyteller, Jamie works in multiple genres and adapts her style to whatever the project calls for from bright, feel-good, spots to compelling and dramatic visual worlds for narrative storytelling.
Today, Jamie is based in Santa Cruz where she continues her work in video production and photography while pursuing opportunities in feature film and television.
